School Clubs

All clubs will cost £2.00 or £2.50 per session

All sessions need to be paid for to secure the place and

there are no refunds for children missing sessions.

 

Each club will run from 3.05pm to 4.30pm. 

Children will need to be picked up from the hall.

All children will receive a drink and

biscuit as part of the session.

Clubs such as Textiles/Cookery/Crafting will cost

an extra 50p due to the expenditure on resources. 

Each club comes with a limited number of places

which will be allocated on a

first come, first served basis.

Monday

Squash

This club is run by Mr Munday who is our sports coach and is available to children from all year groups.  Mr Munday will introduce children to the rules of the game with a possibility of playing in local

tournaments.

Homework — Maths

This club will be run by Miss Gedge who is one of our teaching assistants.  This is a whole school club and will be held in Year 4.  Miss Gedge will enable children to complete their homework in a quiet, supportive

environment.

Art Club

This club is run by Mrs Musselbrook and is available to children from all year groups.  Mrs Musselbrook is a teaching assistant at the school whose speciality is art.  The children will be using a range of materials to  create a variety of master pieces.

Singing Stars

This club will be run by Mrs Davis, our music teacher.  Children will explore a range of songs from musical theatre to pop and beyond. This club is available to children from all year groups.

DJ Club

This club is to be run by Mr Jenkins who is a teaching assistant.  It is available to children from all year groups and will be held outside our library.  Mr Jenkins will introduce the children to the art of mixing music and building tunes using computer software.

Tuesday

 

Karate

This club is run by Mr R Walker.  Mr Walker is a qualified teacher of Traditional  Shotokan Karate.  This will be held in the school hall and is open to all children.  Mr Walker will demonstrate the basic movements and

positions of Karate.  Children can wear their school PE kits to take part.  If your child finds they enjoy karate and would like to continue there would be an additional fee for a licence.

Bible Club

This club is free and run by members of Christ Church, Vale Square who will be offering opportunities for children to explore the Bible and learn more about Jesus.  If you would like your child to attend this club please

contact the school office.

Netball Club

This club is to be run by Miss Gedge who is one of our teaching assistants.  It is available to children from Years 5 & 6 only and will be held on the play ground.  Miss Gedge will introduce the children to the rules of the game

(with the possibility of tournaments later in the year).

Drama

This club will be run by Miss J Davis our music teacher who also has a background in theatrical work.  Drama Club is open to the whole school and promises fun for all with games, role play, mime, improvisation and working with script. 

Football

This club is to be run by Mr Munday who is our sports coach.  It is available to children from Years 3 & 4 only and will be held on the school playing field.  Mr Munday will introduce the children to the rules of the game with the

possibility of taking part in tournaments. The children will be playing outside in all weather so please ensure they have the appropriate clothing as well as football boots and shin pads.

Lego

This club will be run by Mr Jenkins who is an avid fan of building with Lego.  The Lego club will be exploring the workings of Lego and how it can be constructed without instructions.

 

 

Wednesday

Nature

This club is to be run by Mrs Musselbrook who is Year 5 and 6 teaching assistant.  This club is open to all year groups, it is a fun club which aims to inspire and educate children about wildlife.  This club offers a wide range of activities such as making delicious bird feeders and going on bug hunts in the school garden!

Textiles

This club will be run by Mrs L Tweddell who is a Year 4 teaching assistant and has years of experience in Craft. This club will be held in the Sunflower Suite and is open to Year 3 & 4 only. Mrs Tweddell will introduce the children to different types of material and instruct them in basic sewing skills.

Football

This club is to be run by Mr Munday who is our sports coach and it is open to Years 5 & 6 only and will be held on the school playing field.  Mr Munday will introduce the children to the rules of the game with the possibility of taking part in tournaments. Music Group

This club is run by Miss J Davis our music teacher and is open to anyone who learns an  acoustic or electrical instrument either in or out of school.  Come and join this exciting new band.  We will be playing a variety of styles from classical to pop, with opportunities to perform in school concerts and events.

Animation

This club is to be run by Mr Jenkins who is a teaching assistant.  It is available to children from all year groups and will be held outside our library.  Mr Jenkins will introduce the children to the art of animation

using computer software.

 

Thursday

Lego Animation

This club is to be run by Mr Jenkins who is a teaching assistant and an avid fan of Lego.  This club will be exploring the workings of Lego and how it can be constructed and used in the art of animation.  It is available to children from all year groups

Badminton

This club is to be run by Mr Munday who is our sports coach and it is open to the whole school.  Pupils will learn the basic rules of the game along side team work and improving hand eye co-ordination.

Homework—English

This  club will be run by Miss K Gedge who is one of our teaching assistants.  It will be held in Year 4 and is open to all children.  Miss Gedge will support children in completing their homework in a quiet, friendly earning

environment.

Gardening

This club will be run by Mrs L Tweddell who is a Year 4 teaching assistant. This club will be held in the garden and is open Year 5 & 6 only.  Mrs Tweddell will introduce the children to a wide range of activities in the school garden!

  

Friday

Outdoor Athletics

This club will be run by Miss K Gedge, a teaching assistant with a passion for sport. This is open to all children from all year groups. Miss Gedge will teach children various disciplines inc. running, jumping, and skipping with the possibility of taking part in future tournaments and in preparation for Sports Day.

Board/Card Games

This club will be run by Mr Jenkins.  Children will have the opportunity to play a variety of board games old and new, as well as card games e.g. Pokemon and Top Trumps etc.
